Assistive technology is anything used to assist someone with a disability. It can be used for individuals who have difficulty with skills such as talking, listening, remembering, seeing, reading, writing, and so much more. Assistive technology is broken down into three categories; no tech, low tech, and high tech. Some forms of assistive technology include pencil grips, communication boards, wheelchairs, and educational software.

In this presentation, you will see information on a student named Jack. Jack is a 4th grade student who is reading at a 2nd grade level. He has been diagnosed with memory delays and is struggling in writing, reading, and handwriting. Included is some assistive technology that could benefit Jack performance in the classroom.
